“Pasta water with a hint of burnt boat fuel please sir.”
Over the past few years, Brooklyn Beckham has frequently shared cooking videos with his social media followers.

Unfortunately, these videos haven’t always landed well, with many people often criticizing Brooklyn’s recipes, cooking skills, and/or his career pivot into culinary content.

In 2023, for example, Brooklyn posted a beef recipe that was dragged for looking “raw” — and his mom, Victoria Beckham, actually ended up coming to his defense. “I'll be attempting this for your dad and brothers and sister! It's rare people not raw,” she wrote on Instagram as she shared Brooklyn’s video.

Months later, Brooklyn addressed the hate he receives over his cooking videos, telling Insider that the criticism “doesn’t really bother” him. “Cooking makes me happy. I have more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about me,” he said, adding, “My message to them is to keep writing whatever they want to write. There are always going to be people out there who try and pull you down.”

“I’m doing my thing and working my bum off. So they can keep writing what they want, but it's not going to bother me — I'm just going to keep doing my thing,” he said. “I’m not a professional at all, I'm just starting out. So I'm just gonna continue doing my videos and see where it takes me."

Well, sadly, another one of Brooklyn’s cooking videos is going viral for all the wrong reasons.

A few days ago, when Brooklyn posted footage of himself making a tomato pasta dish while on a boat, viewers were horrified to see the star using seawater to cook his pasta in. "Of course, we get some pasta water," he said before filling his large cooking pot in the sea.

It's unknown whether Brooklyn actually cooked the pasta in the seawater. However, the video — which you can watch here — immediately cut to him at the stove after he filled the pot.

While the pasta ended up looking incredible, several people in the comments immediately made it known that they were very grossed out by Brooklyn’s use of the seawater.

“Pasta water with a hint of burnt boat fuel please sir,” one person quipped, while another wrote, “Boiling seawater doesn’t kill chemical pollutants, heavy metals, and all toxins.”

“people urinate in that sea!” someone said, while another joked, “Pasta water with gasoline.”

“Mate you’ve just cooked pasta in water down stream of the yachts diesel generator,” another user echoed.

“Water from the sea???? Noooo!!!!!” one comment read, while someone else wrote, “Is boat exhaust the secret ingredient? 💀”
“With a splash of engine oil from the back of the boat to give it a lil bit of bam,” one more user joked.
Some people speculated that Brooklyn was “rage baiting,” while others came to his defense. “I think he is sweet !! And he has a passion for cooking which is clear !! So hard for a child of a celeb !! He just wants to live his life happy like we all do,” one comment read, while another user said, “I see a lot of hate but Brooklyn literally living the dream just cooking everyday on a yacht with his billionaire wife isn't a bad life at all.”
