What to expect: An aspiring band takes a rowdy road trip across the country after getting the chance of a lifetime to open for Green Day. It's giving Almost Famous vibes, and I'm so here for it.

Why we're excited: The film is inspired by Green Day's early touring days before the release of their breakout album, Dookie. The punk rockers serve as writers, producers, and even make a cameo in the film!

What to expect: A family fights to survive after a mysterious cosmic event transports them from suburbia to somewhere totally unknown. Oh, and there are a loooot of dinosaurs!

Why we're excited: If you're into Jurassic Park, this sci-fi flick is definitely going to be up your alley. It's written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, who's best known for It Follows. J.J. Abrams is also serving as producer, who you might recognize for his work on Cloverfield, Lost, Super 8, and more. Plus, it's filmed for IMAX, which is guaranteed to be a wild ride.

What to expect: A young mother discovers not only that she can travel into The Further, but she can bring the terrifying things that live there back to the real world. Eeeeek!

Why we're excited: This is the sixth installment in the Insidious franchise, meaning it's likely to be packed with jump scares that'll leave you sleeping with the lights on. TBH, the other movies *still* scare me.

What to expect: A group of four best friends reunites for much-needed R&R after realizing just how busy their lives have become. Think Girls Trip, but with a spa instead of New Orleans.

Why we're excited: If you need a feel-good film to see with your girls, look no further. There's a stacked cast that's sure to bring all the laughs, and Adam Demos from Sex/Life isn't half bad to look at either.

What to expect: A post-apocalyptic story of survivors facing off with scavenging Reapers after a virus wiped out the rest of the world. It's based on the 2012 book of the same name by Peter Heller.

Why we're excited: Ridley Scott, aka the man behind Alien, Blade Runner, and Gladiator, is serving as producer and director. Plus, the film was shot for IMAX, meaning the thrilling survival story will be even more immersive.

Why we're excited: If you grew up watching Looney Tunes, this is the movie you've been waiting for. Plus, we've got James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Superman, The Suicide Squad) as one of the writers, which obviously means a fun ride ahead.

Why we're excited: With Johnny Knoxville (Jackass) as the lead, along with Seth Rogen (This Is the End, Knocked Up) and Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express) as producers, I'm expecting endless laughs from start to finish.

What to expect: A medical courier finds himself in a terrifying race for survival after being tasked with a drop-off at a remote hospital.

Why we're excited: It's a new era for the Resident Evil franchise. Zach Cregger, who's best known for Weapons and Barbarian, is serving as writer and director for the upcoming installment. The trailer is already creepy as hell, so the film is bound to be even more intense. Plus, it's filmed for IMAX, which will 100% level up the fear factor.
