I Just Watched “Voicemails For Isabelle” And I Am Officially An Emotional Wreck

If you need me, I’ll be listening to Robyn on repeat and crying!

As a die-hard romantic comedy fan and a massive Zoey Deutch stan (my rom-com queen), I was naturally hyped for Voicemails for Isabelle!!

The trailer gave off major You’ve Got Mail energy with a twist, and while plenty of movies have tried to tap into that same nostalgia, most just fall flat. However, Voicemails for Isabelle actually lived up to the hype, and I went through a whole sea of emotions watching it. Let’s break them down.

    Warning! Spoilers ahead.

    1. The sisterly bond

Two people embracing closely, sharing an intimate moment with warm expressions

    2. Nick Robinson jumpscare

Person lying in bed, reaching out sleepily. Bedroom with dim lighting in the background

    3. The soundtrack

A person is talking on a cellphone, looking concerned. The background appears to be blurred, suggesting an urban setting

    4. Accurate San Francisco description

Person sitting on a bench overlooking a lit-up suspension bridge at night, surrounded by a calm, scenic setting

    5. Jill's outbursts

    6. Breeda and Andy

Two people with concerned expressions, one saying "Tell her the truth!" Lights hang overhead

    7. Nick Robinson running in the rain

A person looks up at fireworks in the night sky, standing in front of a lit building, appearing surprised or thoughtful

    8. The sweet ending

Two people dancing outdoors, smiling. The one in front wears a graphic tee and bandana, the other in the background is slightly blurred

    Closing thoughts

Two people enjoying takeaway food in front of a mural. One person feeds the other with a fried item, both holding takeout containers
