Sarah Barley at S&S/Sarah Barley Books has bought, at auction, Georgie in Deep by Beth Ann Bauman. Aimee Friedman at Scholastic/Graphix has bought Ground Zero: The Graphic Novel by Alan Gratz (l.) and Syd Fini, the graphic novel adaptation of Gratz's 2021 novel, about a boy who experiences the attacks of 9/11 while at the World Trade Center with his father that day, and the parallel story of a girl in 2019 Afghanistan, whose life has been marked by war and the presence of U.S. military forces.
