Sienna Miller Said She “Didn’t Expect” The Viral Response To Her 14-Year-Old Daughter’s Recent Red Carpet Appearance — And Now She Regrets It

After getting “mogged” by her daughter, Sienna joked that she’s “going to be sending her away to a nunnery” until she’s an “actual adult.”

As you may know, Sienna Miller is a proud mom of three.

She shares one daughter, Marlowe, with her ex, fellow British actor Tom Sturridge (left), as well as a 2-year-old daughter and a 5-month-old son with her fiancé, Oli Green (right).

Sienna is pretty private about her children. However, Marlowe has made a number of public outings over the years and recently had a taste of the limelight when she made a brief red carpet appearance at the London premiere of War, Sienna's upcoming TV series.

Sienna wore a black, strapless gown, while 14-year-old Marlowe posed beside her in a casual yellow T-shirt, a black skirt, and some ballet flats.

As you may have seen, it didn't take long for the pictures to go very viral. One video clip of the mother and daughter posing for photos has over 10 million views on X, with many of the comments discussing Marlowe's appearance.

Now, a week on, Sienna has talked about being "mogged" by her daughter on the red carpet — and why it won't be happening again anytime soon.

Appearing on SiriusXM's The Julia Cunningham Show on Sept. 23, Sienna began by explaining that Marlowe's red carpet moment was not "planned." "Marlowe didn't actually walk the red carpet with me," she said. "She came with her friend. My mum was also there. And then it was five seconds at the end where she came to give me a hug and totally mogged me."

Though she was able to laugh about it, Sienna said that the reaction left her "slightly concerned." "I somewhat regret it because I didn't expect — and I don't think she expected — that that would have the response that it got," she explained, before joking: "I think I'm going to be sending her away to a nunnery for the next four years till she can emerge as an actual adult."

Many people commented on how much Marlowe resembles both of her famous parents; however, Sienna was quick to emphasize that her daughter's "extraordinarily beautiful" appearance is "the least interesting thing" about her. "She's so clever, and she's so funny, and she's still my little girl, so I don't know that we're going to be doing more red carpets," she said.

Sienna went into more detail about her regrets during an appearance on Today With Jenna & Sheinelle on Sept. 24, explaining that the viral attention is "not a great thing" for Marlowe "at this point in her life."

"I just think whether the attention is positive or negative, being aware of that level of attention at that age is not good," the mom-of-three said. "They wanna be a part of your life, of course, because it's a fun world. But, actually, we underestimate..."
