This year’s NYCC comes at a big time for the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise, as the new animated series Avatar: Seven Havens premieres on Paramount+ that same weekend, with a Saturday spotlight panel to boot. But in the long wait between animated shows, this franchise has grown in the pages of comics and novels. Randy Ribay, Allison King, James Mendez Hodes, Emma Bonham, and Ben Wilgus will discuss Avatar’s popularity and legacy with moderator Joan Hilty. (Room 1B02)
