People Have Some VERY Strong Opinions About The New “Avengers: Doomsday” Trailer, And I Need To Know Your Thoughts

    Mystique is in the building!!!!!

Warning: Spoilers ahead if you don't want to know ANYTHING about the Avengers: Doomsday movie.

Marvel Studios has officially released a full-length trailer for Avengers: Doomsday this morning, after months of silence following the release of four mini-trailers featuring their most beloved characters in different scenarios.

A character with a rocky exterior, wearing a blue suit with a number 4 emblem, stands in a desert landscape

Back in January, Marvel gave us a first look at Steve Rogers holding a baby; Thor with his adopted daughter, Love; An X-Men clip with Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto together, along with Cyclops yelling; and Shuri with Namor and M'Baku meeting The Thing from Fantastic Four.

A person looks down warmly at a baby, creating a tender and intimate moment

Now, a nearly two-and-a-half-minute trailer showcases more characters, including Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom himself.

The trailer begins with an image of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, which we have already seen in the mini X-Men trailer. You also hear, "Something is coming. Something we may not be able to deter," with Professor X blocking his eyes from a giant energy ball that seems to expel fire.

Plaque on ground reads: "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters."

The person — who could be Doctor Doom — continues to speak, "Before this day is done, we shall be faced with an unthinkable decision." This time, we get a glimpse of Doctor Doom.

A warrior in metallic armor and hood bends forward in a dramatic scene, with light illuminating their face

Next, we hear Thor saying, "I fought with many warriors in my time." This is where you see him with the Fantastic Four, walking out of their ship.

A person in futuristic blue and white attire, including a jacket and gloves, walks confidently through a spacecraft-like corridor

When he continues to say, "They were far stronger than all of us put together — and they died," we get a full look at the New Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the old Avengers in a room in the New Avengers Tower.

Group of characters in superhero attire stand in a futuristic room, facing each other in a tense standoff

"They died facing enemies and threats that scared me far less than this one," he continues with clips of Shuri and M'Baku, which span out into a room with Namor and his warriors holding their weapons against the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers, and the old Avengers.

Character in a sleek, stylized suit resembling a panther, poised in action with others in similar costumes in the background

Next, we are shown different clips of Cyclops alone, and of Shang-Chi and Gambit fighting.

A person wearing a trench coat and headband looks sideways in a dimly lit room, with a blurred figure in the background

When Thor says, "Everything that they sacrificed will be for nothing if we do not stand together," what seems to be Loki before he became the God of Time is shown looking up.

A person gazes out a window, appearing contemplative, in low light

"Put aside your petty squabbles," he continues, "and presume nothing except this: If you return, you will return as brothers and sisters." During this speech, we finally see a full look at Raven, aka Mystique, following clips of Sue Storm with long hair and Gambit slamming his bo staff on the ground.

A character in a sci-fi film with intricate facial markings and vivid distinct skin raises their hand dramatically in a dimly lit setting

"But mark my words, we're going to need a miracle," Thor finishes saying this, with a clip of him jumping up into the air, aiming Stormbreaker straight at Doctor Doom, which he easily blocks with his two fingers.

A hooded figure with a metal mask raises a glowing, lightning-infused hand, exuding power and mystery

After Thor's speech, you hear Steve Rogers saying, "Hey, pal" in a separate scene. Thor looks directly at him, responding, "It's not possible." But when he opens his hand to let go of Mjolnir, it goes straight to Steve's hand to signal that it's really him.

Two men stand facing each other in a futuristic room; one holds a hammer, while the other gestures with open arms, wearing a cape

Finally, we get the Doomsday Clock that shows the movie is coming out in about five months.

Countdown timer with four months, 27 days, 15 hours, 59 minutes, and 55 seconds remaining

Within the first 30 minutes, the Avengers: Doomsday trailer garnered over a million views, with thousands of people leaving comments across the internet.

Text showing over 1 million views and reads, "Doomsday arrives December 18th."

While some people found the trailer to be super exciting, like this person: "Doctor Doom stopping Stormbreaker with TWO fingers is insane."

A fictional character uses two fingers to stop an energy attack, with glowing patterns emitting from the hand

Others found it to be underwhelming. "They used to wait to release trailers until they had a presentable level of VFX done, now they promote the movie with shots like this and ask you buy tickets 5 months in advance."

A tweet by a user commenting on how movie promotion has changed, with a moody film image attached

Like this person: "God she is so chopped im crying."

A character resembling Mystique from X-Men, with blue skin and a detailed, textured appearance, holding a bar, appears in a screenshot from a video clip

"Will probably get hated for this, looks good, but it feels underwhelming in a way," one person said.

Tweet by user Otakulord stating: "Will probably get hated for this, looks good, but it feels underwhelming in a way."
